Deadline Approaching for Defence Forces Cadetships

Applications for pilot, air traffic control, engineering and line officer roles close this Sunday.

The Defence Forces is encouraging young people to join its commissioned ranks.

Cadetships are open for applications until this Sunday night - with jobs available for Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, Engineers and Line Officers.

The Army, Navy and Air Corps are hoping to recruit over 850 people in all ranks this year.

Claire McCormack is an Army Cadet in the Curragh, and says people need to be able to take orders during training:
