A major criminal who served less than half of his 18-year prison sentence for drugs trafficking was recently spotted driving into his gated mansion in Straffan.

According to journalist Eamon Dillon, Baron was spotted driving into the property at Bawnogues in a VW Golf.

Baron had lived a luxurious lifestyle, telling people that he made his living selling deck chairs.
In 2013, he pleaded guilty to money laundering and conspiracy to import cocaine and cannabis to the UK from South Africa and Costa Rica between 2005 and 2009.
He was released in 2020, seven years into his sentence as part of Covid-19 changes.
When approached by the journalist, a woman denied that he lived there.
