Kildare County Council have issued positive updates in relation to infrastructure of Broadford.
It follows a recent question at a Clane-Maynooth municipal district meeting
KCC have said that the bus shelter at a bus stop in the area has been upgraded, with works in the process of being completed.
Secondly, they confirmed that the provision of a pedestrian crossing in the area has sufficient funding, as well as a site being identified.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Fine Gael Councillor for Clane-Maynooth MD William Durkan said that the crossing will hopefully be progressed in the next year:
"They've identified a site to link the area connecting to the school and the car park, and we're going to look at progressing that in the next year, so really positive news for Broadford."
He also highlighted the importance of bus shelters being "usable to people at all times of the year" and welcomed the positive updates from KCC that were issued at the latest municipal district meeting.
