EU wants to scrap daylight savings, but member states can't agree
The clocks 'spring forward' tonight in Ireland and the wider European Union.
However, Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clune says nations need to come to a concensus and drop the twice annual time changes.
In 2019 the European Parliament voted in favour of scrapping daylight savings from 2021, but the member states can't agree whether the continent should remain on summer, or winter time.
Deirdre Clune says the stalled process needs to re-start.
