IMF Says it Has "Full Confidence" In Managing Director

Investigation continues into business ranking changes

The International Monetary Fund says it has "full confidence" in its managing director.

The statement follows allegations that World Bank staff were pressured to change business rankings for China, in an effort to please Beijing.

However, an investigation is continuing.

The United States - the IMF's largest shareholder - says it will monitor the situation closely.
