The strategies will consist of equipment and medicines to treat patients.
As a first step, the EU is purchasing iodine tablets - which can protect people from the harmful effects of radiation.
Already, an estimated 3 million tablets have been delivered to Ukraine via the EU Civil Protection mechanism, with the help of France and Spain.
