Ireland has approved second booster for those immunocompromised & over the age of 65
The European Medicines Agency says it is too early to consider fourth doses of Covid-19 vaccines for the general population.
In a joint statement with the ECDC, the agency noted additional vaccines of Pfizer and Moderna's inoculations could be given to adults over the age of 80.
Today, Ireland approved the use of a second booster of a vaccine for those aged over 65, and the immunocompromised.
It follows the Government receiving updated advice from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee.
