The future of chief executive Jonathan Hill will be high on the agenda as the FAI board meet in Abbotstown today.

Hill has been avoiding media questions since a damaging appearance at a joint-Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee last month.

The UK-based boss of Irish football had to repay 20-thousand euro which he had accepted in lieu of holidays not taken.

FAI chair Tony Keohane admitted that the FAI's reputation was damaged by the controversy while president Paul Cooke admitted his confidence in Hill had been “challenged”.

Meanwhile the board will also discuss the appointment of the successor to senior men's manager, Stephen Kenny.

The new manager is due to be named next month while interim boss John O'Shea has received backing from the current squad.
