Leinster Council Turn Down Appeal last night (Weds)
The Sarsfields Club has decided not to lodge any further appeal regarding the abandoned Whitewater Shopping Centre U23 football quarter final..
The quarter final against Naas was level at full-time.
The Sash manager was red carded in the first half but wanted to be re-admitted for extra time, which the referee turned down.
Following some verbal exchanges between a club official and the referee, the latter abandoned the game, without extra time being played
Sarsfield’s initial appeals to Kildare GAA were unsuccessful. They, then, took their case to Leinster Council who turned it down last night.
Naas will now play Clane in the semi-final, with the winners playing Maynooth in the final.
