Sarah Healy represents the Irish interest in the final of the Women's 1,500 metres at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo this afternoon.

The Dubliner is due on track shortly after 2pm, with Kenya's Faith Kipyegon the heavy favourite to win gold.

The first Irish competitors on the track today will be Mark English and Cian McPhillips in the heats of the Men's 800-metres later this morning.

Sharlene Mawdsley competes in the semi-finals of the Women's 400-metres just before half one.
