Jason Knight will be out for up to 12 weeks.

Derby manager Wayne Rooney's difficult summer continues, as it's emerged he was responsible for injuring midfielder Jason Knight- who will be out for the next three months.

The former England captain has been taking part in training, due to having just nine senior players registered with the club.

Rooney and Knight contested a 50-50 tackle, which ended in Knight damaging his ankle.

Derby are continuing to negotiate for their transfer embargo to be lifted - after having restrictions imposed by the EFL due to breaching financial rules.
