Offaly GAA chairperson Michael Duignan says it would be 'a backward step' for the football championship structure to stay as it is.

The Faithful county are set to support Proposal B at the upcoming Special Congress, which would see the championship played on a league basis.

Duignan - a former dual player with Offaly - believes there is an appetite for change.
