Johnny Sexton has been ruled out of Ireland's Six Nations clash with France on Saturday.

The captain sustained a hamstring strain in training yesterday.

Athy's Joey Carbery comes into the team at out-half.

James Ryan will captain the side, while Robbie Henshaw and Jack Carty are both included amongst the replacements.

Iain Henderson also returns to the matchday squad, as does Eadestown's Tadhg Beirne.
