The deal sees the men take a pay-cut.
The FAI has confirmed that the senior women’s and men’s international sides are to be paid equally.
Captains Katie McCabe and Seamus Coleman were involved in brokering the deal which sees the men take a pay-cut.
The FAI will make up the shortfall to bring parity to how the men’s and women’s teams are compensated.
McCabe told FAI TV it’s an historic day for the game in this country
