Ellie McCartney Through To Women's 200-Metres Breaststroke Semi-Finals In Poland

Ellie McCartney is safely through to the semi-finals in the women's 200-metres breaststroke at the European Short Course Championships in Poland.

The Irish swimmer won her heat this morning - and will be back for the semi-finals tonight.

Ellen Walshe also won her heat in the 100-metre butterfly - but won't take her place in the semi-finals tonight as she is competing in the final of the 100-metres Individual Medley.

John Shortt also made it through in the men's 100-metre backstroke, while Eoin Corby advanced in the 200-metres breaststroke.

Daniel Wiffen is back for the final of the 1500-metres freestyle later, while Evan Bailey goes in the final of the 200-metres freestyle.
