There was no joy for Naas and Leixlip hurlers over the weekend.
In Saturday’s AIB Leinster club senior hurling semi final, Naas trailed by a single point in injury time, but lost by 2-14 to 17 points.
Two goals in the opening 2nd half 5 minutes for Na Fianna were the undoing of Naas.
Yesterday, Leixlip senior hurlers were beaten 4-14 to 3-8 by Offaly’s Carraig Riverstown in the Leinster Junior semi final
Leixlip trailed by one point at half time: 1-6 to 1-5, but two Carraig goals in the first ten minutes of the 2nd half did the damage.
This morning’s Kildare Today will review the weekend Naas and Leixlip games at 10.45.
