All 3 Kildare sides in action at the weekend emerged victorious.
The men footballers are promoted to Division one of the Allianz National football league following yesterday’s 1-14 to 14 points win over |Meath.
An early Jimmy Hyland point got them on their way and lead comfortably until the final quarter when Meath closed the gap to 3 points.
A late brilliant 70th minute save from goalkeeper Mark Donnellan prevented Meath getting the draw.
However, Kildare lost Jimmy Hyland, Paul Cribbin and Kevin Feely to injury, while Luke Flynn was redcarded in the second half.
Kildare now turn their attention to the championship in a couple of weeks when they will play either Offaly or Louth.

The Kildare ladies footballers are also promoted to Division 2 following their 2-14 to 1-8 win over Sligo.
They will meet Laois in the Division 3 final after they beat Roscommon 4-15 to 5-9

On Saturday, the hurlers won promotion to Division 2A by virtue of their 2-24 to 1-19 win over Mayo.
