A Co Waterford man who survived a Covid-19 infection that put him in hospital for 66 days, has urged people not to be complacent about the virus.
The county has the highest rate of infection in the country at the moment, despite over 99 percent of over-18s being vaccinated.
The Chief Medical Officer has urged people to cut back on riskier activities like going to pubs and restaurants.
It comes as 3,685 more people have tested positive for the virus.
Although the main vaccines in use drastically reduce the risk of death and serious illness, Covid-19 survivor Tony Gallagher, says it's important people realise the risk of infection is still there:
