Two houses have been sealed off for forensic examination
Two men are fighting for their lives after a serious assault in Limerick.
The first man, who is aged in his 20s, was found with stab wounds when Gardai were called to a house at New Road in Thomondgate at around 2.30 this morning.
He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick, where he is in a critical condition.
A second man was then found by gardai at another property on Cross Road in Thomondgate.
He is aged in his 40s and is also being treated for critical injuries in UHL.
Both houses have been sealed off for forensic examination and gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
