Keane Mulready-Woods was killed in a house in Louth.
The non-jury Special Criminal Court has accepted jurisdiction to hear the trial of two men accused of murdering Keane Mulready-Woods.
The 17-year-old was killed in a house in Drogheda last year.
Our Courts Correspondent Frank Greaney has this report, which some listeners may find distressing:
"On the evening of Sunday, January 12th last year, Keane Mulready-Woods’ worried mother went to gardaí in Drogheda to report her teenage son as missing.
Later that night, some of his remains were found in a bag in a housing estate in Coolock in Dublin.
More body parts were found in a burning car in Drumcondra two days later.
An extensive search of some wasteland in Drogheda last March uncovered his torso.
25yo Paul Crosby and 47yo Gerard Cruise, both with an address at Rathmullen Park, Drogheda, Co Louth, are both accused of murdering him at a house at Rathmullen Park sometime between January 11th and January 14th.
Their trial will be heard before the Special Criminal Court after an application to have it dealt with by the non-jury court was approved this morning.
They’re both due back in court next week."
