Senior Gardaí To Meet With Dublin Business Owners Following Stabbing On Grafton Street

It follows another assault in the city centre over the weekend.

Senior Gardaí are to meet with business owners in Dublin this week to address ongoing safety concerns.

This latest attack happened yesterday morning at 9 when a man in his 30s was stabbed in the back on Grafton Street

He was taken to St. James's Hospital where he was treated for serious injuries,

A man, also in his 30s was arrested and remains in custody this morning at Pearse Street Garda Station

He has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before Court 2 of the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin this morning

The Justice Minister Helen McEntee has condemned this latest assault in the city centre.

It's now emerged Senior Garda will meet with business groups, business owners and Dublin City Council this week to address ongoing safety concerns.

The Assistant Commissioner for Dublin and reps from the organisation Dublin Town are among those who will attend
