The Irish Centre for Human Rights in NUIG has released a number of educational resources for free

Secondary school students will be taught about the human rights violations suffered in Ireland’s Mother and Baby institutions, under a new pilot programme.

The Irish Centre for Human Rights in NUIG has released a number of educational resources for free, including a guidebook for teachers, power point presentation and a number of case studies.

The materials were trailed in Coláiste na Coiribe in Knocknacarra, in Galway in May and the research team hopes to see the study incorporated into the Leaving Cert History Curriculum in the future.
