The firm has paid €297 million.
Drugmaker Perrigo has settled a €1.6 billion euro tax dispute with Revenue for €297 million..
The 2018 bill's thought to be the largest ever issued by Revenue, and was based on the sale of a drug by a company bought by Perrigo in 2013.
Perrigo previously lost a High Court challenge against the tax bill, but it had remained before the Tax Appeals Commission.
However the company says it has now reached a settlement due to the continued risks and costs of litigation.
The Irish-registered firm was hit with the revised tax bill by the Revenue in 2018 over alleged underpayment of tax relating to a transaction with rival pharma company Biogen. https://t.co/TVdkNPFQhw
