Over 15,000 people have been continuously on jobseeker's allowance for at least 10 years.
According to the Department of Social Protection, 30,158 people have been on jobseeker's allowance for at least five years.
Of those, 15,255 have been on the weekly payment for at least a decade.
Of the people on jobseeker's allowance for over 10 years, 4,037 are in Dublin.
The next highest numbers are in Cork, Donegal, Galway, Louth and Wexford - all of whom have at least 700.
