Meath Child Abuse Investigation: Investigations Ongoing As Three Men Released Without Charge

One man was arrested in connection with alleged sexual abuse, another for neglect and cruelty, and the third for allegedly withholding information.

Three men, arrested as part of an ongoing Garda investigation into allegations of sexual abuse and neglect involving children and a vulnerable adult in Meath, have been released without charge.

The suspected offences are believed to have occurred within an extended family environment.

The individuals, aged in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, were taken into custody on Monday morning.

One man was arrested in connection with alleged sexual abuse, another for neglect and cruelty, and the third for allegedly withholding information.

The investigation has been underway for years, but all alleged victims are currently in a safe environment.

It's understood that yesterday's development in the investigation resulted from a number of disclosures made to gardaí.

Investigations are continuing.
