Anthony McGinn, of Drumloo, Newbliss, Co Monaghan, pleaded guilty to causing their deaths and to causing serious injury to Dlava’s sister, Avin, who was also in the car.
A 61-year-old man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for dangerous driving that caused the deaths of two teenagers in Co Monaghan in July 2023.
Kiea McCann (17) and Dlava Mohammed (16) died when the car they were in struck a tree at Legnakelly while on their way to a debs.
