Two men were taken to St James' Hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A man in his 30s has been charged with dangerous driving after the car he was driving mounted a footpath in Dublin, injuring two pedestrians.

Sean Creighton of Summer Street South in Dublin 8 was arrested on Saturday night and appeared in Dublin District Court this morning.

The 36 year old was charged with dangerous driving following an incident on Saturday night.

At around 11.20pm the car he was driving mounted the footpath on Thomas Street, struck a number of kerbside bollards, before hitting three men.

Two of the men were taken to St James' Hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

In Dublin District Court today, Mr Creighton was granted bail of 200 euro, on a number of conditions - including that he must report to Kilmainham Garda Station twice weekly.

The case was adjourned until November.
