A US judge has made history by using a virtual reality headset to examine an alleged crime scene.

The headset was submitted as evidence to digitally see an altercation at a wedding in Florida.

The Oculus headset was supplied to Judge Andrew Siegel by a defence team, which also hired an artist to recreate the wedding scene.

The headset could be brought before a jury if Judge Siegel decides to bring the case to trial.
