Irish Human Rights & Equality Commission Calls For Racial Profiling By Gardai To Stop.

It has issued 130 recommendations on the National Action Plan Against Racism.

The State’s human rights watchdog is calling for action on racial profiling in Garda stop and search operations.

The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission says we need more diversity among Gardaí and other public service workers to tackle racism in Irish society.

It wants the government to address negative attitudes among Gardaí to ethnic minorities, as part of 130 recommendations for the new National Action Plan Against Racism.
