ICS: Childhood Cancer Costs Affected Families €15,000 A Year.

Around 200 children a year are diagnosed with cancer in Ireland.

It's costing families an average of €15,300 a year to deal with a child cancer diagnosis, according to new research.

The Irish Cancer Society says medication was cited by parents as a significant expense, as well as travel, mental health supports, and one-off costs such as wigs and head coverings.
