Hundred's Queue In The Rain For Just 38 New Homes In Dublin As Housing Demand Soars

The 3-bedroom homes at the Seven Mills housing development between Clondalkin and Lucan cost nearly half a million euro.

Hundreds of people have been queuing in the rain in Dublin this morning - to try and buy one of 38 new houses that went on sale at 9am.

Dozens of first-time buyers slept in sleeping bags and deck-chairs overnight and dozens more joined them at first light.

The 3-bedroom homes at the Seven Mills housing development between Clondalkin and Lucan cost nearly half a million euro - with a €5,000 euro booking deposit required to secure one, on a first served basis.
