It follows 22 hours of intense negotiations at the Workplace Relations Commission.

The Minister for Health has welcomed a decision to suspend a 'work to rule' by Healthcare Unions planned for tomorrow.

It follows 22 hours of talks with the HSE and unions, at the Workplace Relations Commission.

Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill has thanked all sides for reaching an agreement which 'ensures patient safety and continued delivery of essential services'.

She went on to say she's committed to further grow and modernise the workforce, to meet the needs of a growing and aging population, while ensuring the HSE continue to operate within their budget.
