Govt. Commits €500,000 To Respond To The Earthquake In Haiti.

At least 1,300 people were killed during last Saturday's quake.

The government's announced €500,000 in funding to respond to the earthquake in Haiti.

The money will be used to support the Red Cross and other Irish non-governmental organisations to provide humanitarian support.

83,000 homes have been either destroyed or severely damaged.
