The US President says negotiations are failing, and has accused the EU of unfair trade practices.

The EU is ready to respond to Donald Trump’s latest threat of a 50 percent tariff on European goods from June 1st.

Brussels insists it wants talks based on mutual respect, and says it will defend its interests if needed.
