Dublin Man Accused Of Car Theft With A Baby Inside Has Been Remanded In Custody

He has been charged with endangerment of life.

A Dublin man accused of the theft of a car with a nine-month-old baby inside has been remanded in custody.

He's been charged with three offences in connection with the alleged incident in Cabra in Dublin on the night of August 21st.

45 year-old Francis Broughan, of Shangan Gardens, Ballymun, was held last week after gardai charged him with three offences in connection with the alleged incident in Cabra.

He's accused of the unauthorised taking of a car under the Traffic Act, attempted hijacking, and the endangerment of life.

He faced his second hearing when he appeared before Judge John O'Leary at Cloverhill District Court today via video link. Again, there was no application for bail.

Judge O’Leary remanded him in custody to appear again on September 20th.
