Personal spending on goods and services rose by 12.6 per cent.

The economy grew by 6.3 per cent in the second quarter of this year.

The CSO says the easing of Covid restrictions led to increased activity in many sectors.

The construction sector increased by nearly 23 per cent, after it was shut down for the early part of the year.
