Apple's 13 Billion Euro Repayment "Minor" Amid Surge In Corporate Tax Revenues

Minister Paschal Donohoe reports

The Minister for Public Expenditure says the 13 billion euro that Apple will pay to the Government is small compared to the amount they've collected in the last 10 years from corporate tax.

During the week, the EU's top court ruled that the European Commission was right to demand that 13 billion euro in "illegal" tax breaks for Apple should be repaid.

The Government has denied that they gave the company preferential treatment, but has accepted the ruling of the court.
