It comes as government publishes their energy reduction plan today, which encourages homeowners to reduce their use during peak times.
The plan will see a maximum temperature limit of 19 degrees in public buildings and a public campaign to encourage homeowners to reduce usage during peak hours.
It comes as the European Commission is working on a plan that could see energy prices more than half, if a €200 a megawatt hour price limit is introduced.
