While over half of 9 year olds said they were allowed use the Internet without adult supervision.
Almost a quarter of 9 year olds were found to be overweight or obese, according to a new report.
The research conducted in 2018, is part of the ESRI's Growing Up In Ireland study.
It found that being overweight was higher amongst girls than boys, as well as those from less advantaged backgrounds.

More than two thirds of the children surveyed owned their own device.
The research conducted in 2018, found the most popular devices for 9 year olds were tablets or iPads, followed by smart phones.
