Two months later the investigation was upgraded to murder as Gardai found no evidence of Kyran being alive and received specific information indicating he was dead.
As part of the investigation during the past twelve months a number of electronic devices have been seized and analysed.
Almost 30,000 hours of CCTV from numerous locations are continuing to be examined by an investigating team.
A candlelit vigil will be held in Dundalk tomorrow evening.
