Leasing, utilities, manufacturing and finance are among the best performing sectors.

There has been a 28 per cent rise in Irish start-ups from January to September of this year.

Data from CRIF Vision-Net shows the majority of this growth occurred in the first six months of the year, which saw a 42 percent increase.

These figures suggest that progress has stalled in the third quarter.

Leasing, utilities, manufacturing and finance are among the best performing sectors.

Covid's effect on the hospitality sector is still evident, as it recorded a modest increase of just 4 per cent.
