A man in his 60s has died in a crash in County Galway.
A second man has been left with serious injuries following a separate collision in Galway City.
Emergency services were alerted to a single-car collision on a local road in the Blackacre area of Tuam shortly after 10.30 last night.
The driver and sole occupant, a man in his 60s, was found unresponsive and taken by ambulance to University Hospital Galway, where he was later pronounced dead.
The road will remain closed until a technical examination of the scene is completed.
Meanwhile in Galway City,
A man in his 30s was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was driving crashed on the Siobhán McKenna Road shortly before 8 o'clock yesterday evening.
He was also taken to University Hospital Galway, where he remains in a serious condition today.
