Works To Improve Water Supply And Reliability In Celbridge To Begin Next Week

The first section of works will begin at the roundabout on R405 Hazelhatch Road and move north towards Celbridge

Uisce Éireann has announced that residents of Celbridge will "soon benefit from a more secure and reliable water supply", as Uisce Éireann are set to begin works next week to reduce high levels of leakage in the area.

The works will take place in four stages and involve the replacement of over five kilometres of aged water mains between Celbridge and Newcastle, Co. Dublin as part of Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme.

The first section of works will begin at the roundabout on R405 Hazelhatch Road and move north towards Celbridge. This is expected to take three months to complete.

Traffic management will be in place in the form of a stop/go system.

Road closures are anticipated next year for the following stages of the project, and Uisce Éireann has stated that these will be communicated in advance.

The projected is expected to be complete in Q2 2027.
