Women Overtake Men In Earnings At Kildare Council, While Men Dominate Lower-Paid Outdoor Roles

Men, however, dominate certain categories, such as outdoor roles and the fire service, contributing to variations across pay quartiles.

Women, on average, earn 3.87% more per hour than men at Kildare County Council.

The median pay gap is also negative at -12.45%, reflecting higher median pay for women compared to men.

Women occupy a majority of middle-management roles (57.84%).

Men, however, dominate certain categories, such as outdoor roles and the fire service, contributing to variations across pay quartiles.

These roles are often clustered in lower pay bands.

Women tend to occupy administrative and clerical roles, which offer better pay and growth opportunities.

Women also show strong participation in professional/technical and middle-management positions.
