Speaking to Kfm, Garda Shona Nolan said the case the incident is still part of a "live investigation".
Gardai are trawling through CCTV and have gathered a number of witness statements as part of their investigation into an incident of violent disorder at the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge.
It happened on Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm.
Speaking to Kfm, Garda Shona Nolan said the incident is still part of a "live investigation".
She said it was a "terrifying" experience for vendors and customers.
Kfm broke the story last week, when videos emerged of a group of men, some topless, fighting inside and outside the shopping centre, with one holding a blade.
