Kildare County Council says it's highlighted the issues with Uisce Éireann
Ireland's largest drinking water treatment plant breached regulations for discharges into the River Liffey several times this year.
There were non-compliant concentrations of chemicals being discharged from the facility in Ballymore Eustace in Kildare according to the Journal.
The plant supplies safe drinking water to almost one million people in Dublin city and the Greater Dublin Area.
Kildare County Council, which regulates the facility, says it's highlighted the issues with Uisce Éireann and is awaiting a report.
