Speaking on Kildare Today, Cllr. Tom McDonnell also said the toilets in the graveyard have gone "grubby" and that he has received confirmation from Kildare County Council that they will be refurbished.
There's finally been some movement on getting water issues resolved at St Conleth's Cemetery in Newbridge.
Independent Cllr Tom McDonnell said a new water connection is now in place.
Speaking on Kildare Today, he also said the toilets in the graveyard have gone "grubby" and that he has received confirmation from Kildare County Council that they will be refurbished.
He has also asked the council to install a pedestrian crossing from the graveyard to the car park across the road.
He said the water issue has gone on too long but hopefully things will "improve going forward".
He said water should be running from the taps today.
