Walk-In Covid-19 Booster Vaccination Clinic At Punchestown Opens This Morning

For those aged 40 & over, and healthcare workers

A walk-in Covid-19 booster vaccine clinic opens in Punchestown at 8.30am this morning.

The clinic will remain open until 12pm, for those aged 40 & over and healthcare workers, who are yet to receive a third vaccine.

The wait time for a booster vaccine for those who have been infected with Covid-19 has been reduced from 6 months to 3.

NIAC made the recommendation which has been accepted by the Government.

The HSE will now put the new advice into operation.

103,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered yesterday, Tuesday; 76,000 doses were administered on Monday.

In total 1.77 million third doses have been administered so far, with 50,000 first or second vaccines completed on Tuesday.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin said it's important people get fast access to the booster:

1 in every 6 young adults in Ireland are not vaccinated against the virus.

A walk-in clinic will open in Punchestown on Christmas Eve at the same time (8.30am - 12pm) for the same age cohort (40 years & above).
