Kildare has emerged as one of the stronger performers in the national Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant scheme, with 24 grants issued upon completion of works so far between January and March 2025, totalling €1.41 million in funding.
According to the latest data released by the Department of Housing, Kildare received 32 applications during the first quarter of 2025.
Of those, 29 were approved and one was rejected.
Nationally, 2,000 homes have been brought back into residential use as part of the vacant property refurbishment grant scheme during the same period.
