Ukrainian Refugees, Including Cancer Patient, To be Relocated From Dublin To Kildare Equestrian Centre

Many refugees, including over 40 school-age children, fear disruption to their education.

Dozens of Ukrainian refugees, including a woman receiving cancer treatment, are set to be relocated to an equestrian centre in Kildare as the government moves to return student accommodation in the capital to its original purpose.

More than 200 refugees living in Dublin city centre had requested to remain in their current housing until the summer, citing concerns over education and stability.

The Department of Integration has stated that under Rent Pressure Zone legislation, student accommodation must be returned to students by next month.

Many refugees, including over 40 school-age children, fear disruption to their education.
